Canada stay-back period and post-graduation work permit

– To stay back in Canada, students must study for eight months.
– A student cannot stay back or seek a Post Graduation Work Permit before an 8-month course.

Note: A student needs to enrol in a course for a post-graduation employment visa.

If the course lasts less than 2 years, the graduate can get a work pass for the same amount of time as the course.For example, an 8-month course is equal to an 8-month work permit after graduating.
If the student takes a two-year course (master’s or diploma), he or she can get a three-year work permit after college. For example, a two-year master’s or diploma study is the same as a three-year work permit after graduation.

COST OF STUDYING IN CANADA

STUDENT VISA AND DEPENDENTS

A person from outside Canada who is in Canada on a student visa can bring their spouse and any children who live with them. The partner’s spouse can also apply for an open work permit and work as an employer in Canada while their partner’s study visa is good.
